Welcome to the Neobotix Documentation for MMO-700

The mobile manipulator MMO-700 combines the omnidirectional MPO-700 with a light-weight robot arm from Universal Robots or Schunk.

The MMO-700's four Omni-Drive-Modules create very smooth omnidirectional movements. This is a significant advantage over vehicles with Mecanum wheels when handling or transporting fragile or expensive parts.

The platform's movement can be controlled by either PlatformCtrl or the free Robot Operating System. The Universal Robots arms can be controlled with the original control software and the manual control unit from Universal Robots. Control by the on-board computer is also possible. When a Schunk arm is used it can be controlled by ROS.

Range Of Application

The mobile robot may be used in a large variety of applications:

  • Autonomous transportation tasks in industrial environments

  • Automatic measurement of physical data in large areas (e.g. gas concentrations, temperatures, noise, etc.)

  • Autonomous operations within large areas (e.g. surveillance, part handling, etc.)

  • Telepresence while controlled via wireless LAN
